Evening Kindle-ites! Here is this weeks edition of Teaser Tuesday! What? You’ve never heard of it? Well.. let me fill you in. Teaser Tuesday is a fantastic way to get a sneak peak at book you may or may not have ever considered reading before PLUS… you get a chance to see what everyone else has to offer.
All you have to do is:
– Grab your current read
– Open to a random page
– Share (in the comments) 2 “teaser” sentences (or a paragraph…I’m not picky) from somewhere on that page (BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! you don’t want to give too much away!)
– And then tell us where you got it! (Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!)
Ephemeral by Addison Moore
Two months dissolve without her knowledge and she finds herself in unfamiliar surroundings with strangers who not only profess to know her but insist she’s someone else entirely.
Laken discovers her long dead boyfriend, Wesley, has been thrown into this alternate world as well. He is quick to inform her she suffered a horrible fall and that her memory hasn’t fully returned. According to Wesley the other life she had—her name, her family, they were simply a side effect of her brain trauma.
In her quest for answers she meets Cooper Flanders, the son of her psychiatrist who readily believes every word she says.
Laken Stewart knows she died on that hot July afternoon, but now she’s alive—or is she?

“Another cry erupts, horrific and impatient as if begging for mercy, and I speed off in that direction. The long stick I foolishly chose to brandish snags on everything in my path. It knocks sloppily into the ground, so I ditch it. There’s not a thing on my person I could use as a weapon unless you count the lip gloss in my pocket, and judging by all the loose hairs clinging to my mouth for dear lift, it might prove to be great ammunition. I could be the kissing warrior. I’ll have my lips ripped off my face from sheer stupidity.”
I’m reading this now also. I’m loving it! I just wish I could figure out what is going on.
That last line made me laugh. Funny.

“No, you idiot,” the Colonel said. “If there was always a pre-prank, then the Eagle would expect two pranks. The last time a pre-prank was used-hmmm. Oh, right: 1987. When the pre-prank was cutting off electricity to campus, and then the actual prank was putting five hundred live crickets in the heating ducts of the classrooms. Sometimes you can still hear the chirping.”
