Afternoon Loves! Most of you already know this, and if you follow me on FB you’ve already read about it, but I thought I would share the literary world’s super big news with those of you that chose today to sleep under a rock. (Not that I’m judging.. I like a good rock now and then.) Anyways… JK Rowling, the Queen of all things magic announced today that she is writing a new book, and ADULT book! Yay! (*throws confetti) That’s right… Ms. Harry Potter has decided to move on from her Voldemort shackles and dive back in to the book world, and boy… I just can’t wait.
Now, while the title, or even details of the book have yet to be revealed, I can tell you this.
#1. She has split with her previous publishing house (Bloomsbury) to take up arms with Little, Brown. Which… let’s be honest, there are THRILLED about:
“She is one of the best storytellers in the world,” said Little, Brown Publisher David Shelley. “…I am looking forward enormously to helping bring her new novel for adults to her fans and admirers, and to introducing her writing to new readers the world over.”
and
#2. She’s excited!
“The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me, and with that new territory it seemed a logical progression to have a new publisher,” she said.
All in all… I think this is a big win for US (as in readers.) and as for JK… Good Luck in your fabulous new journey!
Happy Reading Kindle-ites!
Now if only she would release the Harry Potter series in e-format.
Well…they are, but only through Pottermore 🙁
throw more confetti this book ought to be a book you wont be able to put down. If it is anything like the Harry Potter books it will be fabulous. Antic……pation
I’m really looking forward to seeing what it is that she’ll be doing!
Pottermore – but is it in Kindle format? and I thought they weren’t signing up people for Pottermore as it got so backlogged……
To be honest… I have no idea if they are Kindle format (I’m gonna guess no…the are probably ePub) I have all of the physical books so Ive never looked & you are right, Pottermore is currently closed to newbies 🙁
I’ll be sure to read her new adult book when it comes out. I’m only now reading Harry Potter… Just a little slow on the uptake.
