I absolutely love cover art, I could look at it for hours! And since I love it I figured a few of you are likely to love it too. So, I’ve established a weekly (Thursday) post called “Cover Lust” in which I will feature one spectacular cover I consider pretty much perfect. I encourage you to leave your thoughts below (because I’m crazy curious) and if you feel up to it… tell me the title of a book who’s cover YOU lust!
Tomorrow The Killing by Daniel Polansky
Well looky looky it’s birds again! I don’t know what it is about our flying feathered friends but I just can’t help but love their presence on book covers. So regal. So ominous. So…free. (Yes, I know…those 3 words have nothing to do with each-other. LOL) As for the rest of the cover? This is fantasy done right. The haze at the top of the cover combined with the cloaked back-facing figure and the foreshadowing of epic-ness in the distance can’t help but draw the eye. Add to that a pretty interesting graphic under they typeface and what you get is a cover I am completely in lust with. But enough about me…what do you think? Is it lust worthy or am I’m losing my mind?
I like! Some people are just too talented.
