You can’t change your DNA…even when it says you’re a murderer.
When Davy tests positive for Homicidal Tendency Syndrome, aka “the kill gene,” she loses everything. Once the perfect high school senior, she is uninvited from her prep school and abandoned by her friends and boyfriend. Even her parents are now afraid of her—although she’s never hurt a fly. Davy doesn’t feel any differently, but genes don’t lie. One day she will kill someone.
Without any say in the matter, Davy is thrown into a special class for HTS carriers. She has no doubt the predictions are right about them, especially Sean, who already bears the “H” tattoo as proof of his violence. Yet when the world turns on the carriers, Sean is the only one she can trust. Maybe he’s not as dangerous as he seems. Or maybe Davy is just as deadly.

First off…can we talk about how cool her DNA hair is? Wow!!
I am fascinated with anything dealing with human DNA and the fact that this book implies you can pinpoint a serial killer before they ever actually kill someone sounds crazy. As in crazy cool. Think about this for a second…you have the “kill gene” so you are tattooed with an “H” so everyone knows. There is no way your life could be normal even if you tried after that could it? It’s like wearing a big ass A on your chest telling everyone you sleep around! Only…you’re telling everyone you may or may not hack them into a million pieces in the middle of the night. So many questions….! Also, I love Sophie Jordan! Not only is she a very talented (and well rounded – have you seen how many genres she writes for?) author, but she is such a genuinely nice person (face to face) that I will scoop up anything she writes the second it comes out. No questions asked. Anyways…this is what I am waiting for.
What are YOU waiting for?
I’m extremely excited for this one as well. I love her DNA hair it really sells the concept of the book! Great pick.
My WoW
I definitely can’t wait to read this one – even if I didn’t like Sophie Jordan’s Firelight series. The DNA in the hair strands is cool! I have hair like that – even longer. It’s black though 😀
Check out my WoW post!
That hair is the very first thing that caught my attention! Sooo rad.
I’m obsessed with this cover in the worst possible way haha Fabulous choice this week!
